We’re delighted to welcome you to Canadian Voice of Women for Peace Annual 2026 Peace Awards Ceremony—a special evening dedicated to celebrating the remarkable women who are leading the way in peacebuilding across Canada. This cherished event honours their extraordinary contributions, and supports VOW’s 66 year legacy of women’s peace work.
VOW’s Peace Awards Ceremony honours the legacy and impact of outstanding women in our communities—visionaries whose leadership continues to inspire the work we do. We warmly invite you to be part of this year’s hybrid ceremony on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at Friend’s House, Toronto, or joining by Zoom, held in recognition of International Women’s Day.
The Peace Awards recognize Canadian women, including cis-and trans women, non-binary, two-spirited and Indigiqueer folks who have made significant contributions to: Peace Activism, Peace Writing, Promotion of a Culture of Peace/Peace Education, Youth Peace Leadership, Award of Excellence.
A pre-ceremony reception will take place from 4:30–6:00pm in the Dining Room, providing a warm space to connect and enjoy hors d’oeuvres and bidding on our silent auction. The awards ceremony and dinner will follow in the Meeting Room from 6:00pm-9:00pm.
Together, we will share a delicious meal, network, listen to music, hear powerful speeches from remarkable peace leaders, and welcome a special guest speaker!

I understand that a nomination for the Shirley Farlinger Award was made for the 2025 Awards for my work: Global Voices for Peace: An Introduction to Peacebuilders and the Hope They Bring. Given no awards were made in 2025 will this nomination be carried over for consideration for the 2026 Peace Awards?
