Time is running out for the Canadian government to send a delegation to the historic first meeting of states parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW). The meeting will take place in Vienna, Austria from June 21st to the 23rd. Canada has no plans to attend and has not signed or ratified the treaty but could participate as an observer — as Norway, Sweden, Finland, Germany, and Switzerland have already committed to do.
