Canadian Voice of Women for Peace call on the federal government to sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons and release a feminist foreign policy

On the 76th anniversary of the devastating atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the Canadian Voice of Women for Peace (VOW) wrote to Prime Minister Trudeau and Foreign Affairs Minister Marc Garneau to urge the federal government to sign the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW), to show leadership for nuclear disarmament and to release the promised feminist foreign policy. Our letter was also sent to the Minister for Women and Gender Equality Maryam Monsef and to Canada’s Ambassador for Women, Peace & Security Jacqueline O’Neill.
