|Watch Idle No More co-founder Sylvia McAdam speak live, online, at the CUPE Ontario Convention
We recently received the email below from Candace Rennick, Secretary Treasurer of CUPE Ontario, announcing that Idle No More co-founder Sylvia McAdam will be a featured speaker at their convention next week. The speech will be live-streamed by the Public Response team on Thursday, May 30, at 2 p.m. ET.
We are excited to be part of this historic convention and hope that you will tune in to www.cupeon50.ca Wednesday, May 29 through Saturday, June 1, 2013 to hear from inspiring speakers like Sylvia McAdam, Andrea Horwath, Paul Moist, Fred Hahn and many more.
The Public Response team
Did you know that Idle No More was founded by four powerful women living in Saskatchewan?
Just like you, no doubt, I am amazed by the growing Idle No More movement that is sweeping across Canada. It’s so inspiring to see First Nations people and community activists taking action for their rights.
And this is really exciting: one of Idle No More’s four founders, Sylvia McAdam, will be a featured speaker at our CUPE Ontario 50th Anniversary convention in just a few weeks.
I am really looking forward to hearing how Idle No More began, what makes it so successful, and how CUPE and Idle No More can work together, in solidarity.
You can hear her message, too, by joining us for our historic live stream, directly from the convention floor.
Please sign up to receive reminders. You’ll be alerted when to join us for great speakers, award ceremonies, and a special celebration of CUPE Ontario’s 50 years of building a better Ontario.
