VOW celebrates the lives of 2 long time members – Carol Boggis and Margaret Fulton
Carol Boggis 1918-2014 The family of Carol Meta Boggis (Stevenson) is sad to announce her death at age 95 of natural causes on January 15, 2014, in North Vancouver. She was predeceased by her husband, Stanley James Boggis, in 1989. She is survived by her three children, Stephanie, Stephen (Gwen) and Tony (Paula). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Melissa, Chris, Shannon, Ken and Emily. Carol was born in Edmonton, Alberta, and moved to North Vancouver after she married Stan in 1944. They lived in North Vancouver for the whole of their married lives, and enjoyed very much their place in Roberts Creek. Carol was active in the early “Ban the Bomb” movement, and later joined the Voice of Women, a feminist peace group that was very important to her. In her last years, Carol lived at Sunrise of Lynn Valley, and our family wants to thank them all very much for their compassionate care of our Mom. Particularly we’d like to thank Adrienne Stringer, Mom’s wonderful caregiver, for her support of Mom and of our family. We plan a small family graveside service and a Celebration of Life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Voice of Women at http://vowpeace.org/home/.
