I am very pleased to announce that the IPB has decided to award the 2010 Sean MacBride Prize to Ms Binalakshmi Nepram, founder of Manipur Women Gun Survivors Network and Secretary-General of Control Arms Foundation of India.

The prize – kindly contributed by the Irish Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament  – will be awarded at the IPB’s upcoming triennial conference in Oslo (Sept 23-26).

All details are contained in the press release attached.

I encourage you to forward this information to your members, media contacts, supporters etc, and to feature both the award and the conference in your newsletters, websites, calendars etc.

Ms Nepram will be available for press interviews in Oslo – or via her office in Delhi.
